This policy explains how Muzelle uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit muzelle.org.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site recognise your device, remember your actions and keep certain features working between pages. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy.

2. Cookies we use

We currently use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to work. Because they are essential, they are set without asking for consent. Some cookie names include a random code or your user ID, shown below with an asterisk (*). Durations are typical and may vary slightly with your browser and account settings.

We also use security and anti-spam measures that help us block automated abuse and repeated failed logins.

3. Analytics and advertising

We do not currently run advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are switched on.

4. Third-party services

When you pay, you are taken to or use a secure payment service (IWOMIPAY and the card network or mobile money operator), and live lessons use a video-meeting service. These providers may set their own cookies, which are covered by their own policies rather than this one. We recommend reading their policies before you pay or join a live lesson.

5. Our cookie notice

When you first visit Muzelle, a short notice tells you that we use essential cookies. When you dismiss it, we remember that choice in your browser’s local storage so the notice does not keep reappearing. This stores no personal information. Clearing your browser data will make the notice appear again.

6. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you clear them whenever you like. Please note that if you block necessary cookies, you may be unable to sign in, keep items in your cart or complete a purchase.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our platform or the law changes, for example if we introduce analytics. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Where the change affects your choices, we will tell you on the site.
